Hello,

I am looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year and I hope that this year will feel more like school should feel. I want to give a HUGE shoutout to every student, teacher, and parent because last year each of you did what needed to be done to make the school year happen. I know it was difficult and unlike any year we have had before, but through it all, it was a pretty awesome year. I am excited to see what this year has in store for us and look forward to getting to know you and your student. If you ever have any questions, please call the school, or come by the office and ask for me. I am always excited to help you and your child have the most positive middle school experience possible. Thanks for all you do to support our staff every day as we strive to provide all students with challenging lessons while maintaining high expectations for all learners.

Go CATS!!!!

I am very excited to join Rabun County Middle School. You could say that I am returning to my professional roots as I taught eighth grade science for fifteen years. I have been an assistant principal for twelve years, the last nine at Rabun County Elementary School.

If I had to describe my philosophy of education in one word, it would be "Empowerment". I believe that we all are in control of so much of our lives. We may not control all the things that happen to us, but with  great instruction, caring guidance, and quality feedback, we can wisely choose our responses and our attitudes toward those things. Character and work ethic are choices we can all make for ourselves; this is what I encourage students to realize and embrace. Life is all about attitude and effort.

I am thrilled to have another opportunity to continue serving Rabun County. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call the school or email me directly. Thank you for your continued support of Rabun County Schools. Go Cats!
