Health, Personal Fitness, & Drivers Ed
Mackenzie is a Buford High School graduate. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Health and Fitness from the University of North Georgia and an MBA in Business with a Sport Management Concentration from Shorter University. Prior to teaching, Mackenzie was a collegiate basketball Coach at Shorter University. She looks forward to her first year teaching Health and Personal Fitness and coaching basketball at RCHS.
Coach Bragg is a native of Stone Mountain Georgia. He completed his undergraduate studies at North Georgia College with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and teacher certification in Health/Physical Education. He completed the Master's Program in Educational Leadership through Grand Canyon University, a Baptist affiliated institution. At Rabun County High School, he teaches Weight Training, Team Sports, and Outdoor Education.
Wes is a 2014 graduate of Rabun County High School. He has earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education from Western Carolina University, where he also was a 4-year varsity letter award winner for the Catamount football team. Wes continued his education by earning his Masters Degree in Science, Kinesiology, Coaching Education Concentration from Georgia Southern University.
Coach Johnston was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and raised in Marietta, GA. He graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1983 and accepted an football scholarship to Western Carolina University. After graduating college, Coach Johnston has taught English, Driver Education, and Strength and Conditioning. Married to Jane White Johnston for 28 years, they have two sons: Caden, a scholarship athlete and graduate of Berry College, and Conner, a scholarship athlete and graduate of Tusculum University. Go Cats!
Coach Shirley is a 2002 graduate of Habersham Central High School. He earned his B.S. degree in Exercise and Health Science from Kennesaw State University in 2007. From there, he completed his teacher certification program from University of North Georgia in the spring of 2008, Master's degree in Coaching Education from Georgia Southern University in 2016, and Education Specialist degree in Coaching Education from Valdosta State University in 2020. During his 15 year career in education, Coach Shirley has taught Personal Fitness, Team Sports, Health, and Weight Training classes.
Coach Davis is a 1985 graduate of Meadow Creek Academy. He has earned his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of West Georgia, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University and a Specialist Degree in Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. He is currently in his 29th year of teaching and coaching.
