Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
MTSS Overview
Rabun County School System emphasizes continuous improvement of instructional practices to help all students experience success. Each student participates in various district-wide assessments and screenings to gather data that drives instructional planning. If students are experiencing difficulty with various topics or standards, the teacher may implement a research-based intervention (instructional strategy). This system of supports can be applied to all academic subjects and also includes student behavior.
Each school has time included in their schedules for teachers and paraprofessionals to work with students on specific interventions that they might need based on their individual data and assessment results.
