2027–2028 School Calendar Input

While we are looking forward to the start of the 2026–2027 school year, planning is already underway for the 2027–2028 school calendar.

Over the past several months, a calendar committee made up of parents, students, teachers, and administrators has thoughtfully developed three calendar options for the Rabun County Board of Education to consider. We appreciate the time, collaboration, and dedication our committee members invested in creating calendars that reflect the needs of our students, staff, and community.

All three calendar options include the required 180 instructional days for students. In addition, each option is designed so that the first semester concludes before the December holiday break and the second semester ends prior to Memorial Day weekend.

We invite all stakeholders to review the proposed calendar options and share your preferred choice through our community survey. Your feedback will be shared with the Rabun County Board of Education as they consider the options in their decision-making process.
